The Foundation for Scholarly Exchange (FSE), in cooperation with Taiwan’s Ministry of Education (MOE), K-12 Division, announced the creation of the English Teaching Flagship (ETF) Program, an extension program for Fulbright English Teaching Assistants (ETA).

Duration: August 2024 - June 2025

Application deadline: March 8, 2024

 

Benefits

A. Monthly stipend of NT$53,000 which includes NT$5,000 for other professional

development such as learning Chinese or acquiring TESOL certificate

B. Round-trip airfare between Taiwan and USA

C. Settling-in allowance of NT$26,000 at the beginning of the grant period

D. National Health Insurance eligibility

 

Eligibility

A. Applicants are US citizenship

B. Applicants who are currently the students or alumni in the University of California system

C. Applicants with

(a) BA or Master’s degree in Teaching English as  Foreign Language (TEFL) English-teaching, or education related majors (recent graduates from May or June 2023 are qualified); or

(b) experience in serving as an English teaching assistant or teacher in the Fulbright ETA program or JET program

D. Preferable to have teaching experience
